Kings Speak is a social experiment designed to increase the reach and voice of black men and women across the Diaspora. The goal is to amplify the authentic voice of black culture through discussion.
The surveys are constructed primarily by Aisha Adams of NappyThoughts.com. Although these surveys are informal, they are administered in confidentiality. I also follow all of the ethical principles outlined by the American Psychological Association for human research participants protections:
A. Respect for persons — individuals should be treated as independent agents, and people with diminished independence are entitled to special protections.
B. Beneficence — individuals should not be exposed to harm or unnecessary risk, and any benefits should be maximized.
C. Justice — people should be exposed to fair and equitable procedures.
