I can’t wait to publish my full-length interview with Dr. Umar Johnson. While I may not agree with all of his beliefs, I believe in his passion for scholarship, education, and a unified community. In this short clip, he speaks about stress. Subscribe to the blog and YouTube so that you will be notified when it is posted. I am sure it will make for a great conversation. Dr. Umar and I spoke for about an hour, and I noticed during the interview that Doriyan was really attentive. I knew a lot of the ideology and philosophies we spoke about were heavy, and I wanted to be sure that he didn’t walk away confused. Therefore, I invited him to ask Dr. Umar one question.

Dr. Umar Johnson is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, Certified School Psychologist and Principal. I wanted to share this conversation because Dr. Umar’s goal is to raise money to open up a school particularly for young African-American male scholars. He has raised over $600,000 to build this school, but he hasn’t met his goal. Click here to donate to the Frederick Douglas Marcus Garvey Academy for Boys.
